ord\u00f3 S\u00e1rk\u00e1ny band plays \u201cmedieval world music\u201d. They boldly combine authentic, Hungarian and European medieval songs and dances with their own creative ideas. Bord\u00f3 S\u00e1rk\u00e1ny songs are planted in a medieval atmosphere, and are performed with a powerful dynamic that is adapted to today’s world music sound.<\/p>\n
The band has performed at large concerts in 16 foreign countries since its inception. They have presented their program on the international stage in Norway, Estonia, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany, among others. Through their association with the Balassi Institute (a worldwide non-profit cultural organisation), the orchestra has given very successful concerts at the Hungarian Institute in Rome, Bucharest and Tallinn, as well as at the Hungarian Institute in Warsaw<\/p>\n
In Hungary, the ensemble has performed at the following venues and festivals, among others: Franz Liszt Academy of Music Budapest, Hungarian State Opera House, A38 Boat, Instant, Szimpla Kert Budapest, Kobuci Garden, Fon\u00f3, F\u00e9szek Artists\u2019 Club, Budapest Summer Festival,Festival Of Folk Arts Budapest, National Gallop, B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k International Choir Competition and folk festival, Debrecen Wine Carnival, Celebration of Hand Crafts, Campus Festival, SZIN, Vidor Festival, Valley of Arts Kapolcs.<\/p>\n
The band has released 5 albums so far: 2010 \u201cVil\u00e1gfa\u201d (World Tree), 2013 \u201c\u00d3perencia\u201d, 2018 \u201cA l\u00e1ny \u00e9s a s\u00e1rk\u00e1ny\u201d (The Girl and the Dragon), 2021 \u201c20.sz\u00e1zadi kr\u00f3nik\u00e1s\u201d (Chronicler of the 20th Century) and in 2023 they published a new album with the title “5”.<\/span>.<\/p>\n
